INDIA  CUP   2002

 

 

The Golf club of H&E conducted today INDIA  CUP 2002, a golf tournament sponsored and organized by all the Indian Players of the Club. This competition was open to all golfers of H&E club. A total of 51 players participated in this tournament. The tournament was played in stableford format.

 

The first prize with a total stableford score of 43 points was won by Mr.C.M. Sharma, a long time member of the club. The second and third prizes went to Ms. JinHee Berkins and Mr. Kim Ksek Sek respectively. The prize for longest drive was won by Ms. JinHee Berkins. Nearest the Pin on hole no. 13 was won by Mr. Olof Modigh of IKEA, who has recently taken up seriously.

 

This year a new prize was introduced for the Best Indian Player in this tournament, which was won by Mr. Hemant Bhasin.

 

The occasion was graced by H.E. Swashpawan Singh, the Ambassador of India, who presented the prizes to the winners. This was followed by a sumptuous lunch. Although the weather was a bit humid and hot, the players and guests enjoyed lunch in the open and the friendly atmosphere which this Golf club always manages to maintain.

 

The Golf club committee thanks  all the Indian players for sponsoring this tournament and thanks all the participants for their support on this occassion.
