CAPTAINS DAY CUP

Captain Mazin
Ansari capped this Season with another excellent round of 78 in the The National
Tour-Captains Day, season ending tournament.
Mazins season started with a
win at the Mercedes Trophy World Final @ Stuttgart, Germany in Sep 2002, Then he won Dr.
Ahmed Motawi Cup with a season Best Gross of 73, and a win in division A of the January
Medal, and closes the season with a gross of 78, to jump 3 shots into the lead of the Q8
National Tournament.
The Q8 National tour consists of
10 rounds played during the season at H&E & Ahmadi CG. The winners are those who
play the lowest aggregate score of 4 rounds.
Mazins 75,78,79,79 aggregate
of 311, leads by 3 over Waleed Khalafs 314. Club Member Hussni El-azmi is at 3rd
with a 340
and Vice Captain Gassan Alsaleh,
4th with a 344.
Mazin also leads the Q8Net
standings by a single shot Over
Aziz Almulla.
Captain Mazin was a member of the
Q8National team this season and participated in both the GCC & the Pan Arab
Tournaments, and was a steady performer.
In The Captains Day Cup,
Mr. Eldo Ephan won the Title with
a sizzling 64. Eldos outstanding performance gave him a count back victory over our
Competition Secretary Mr Ram Paleti, who shot the lowest gross of the day 76. MT Prasad
came third with a net round of 65.
The Captains Day tournament
is an annual season ending tournament, held to honor the Club Captain for work done &
efforts spent during his Captaincy. Well, Captain Mazin did not disappoint on this day
with his golfing peformance, and provided lunch and the trophies to all the winners.
On behalf of all the members of
the club, Q8golf.com salutes Mr Alansari , our 2002/2003 Captain for a job well done, and
wish him to stay active in the committee, because we think he was the best thing that
happened to our club lately. .
We wish Vice Captain Gassan
Alsaleh good luck next season, which promises to be more challenging than this one,
especially under the main-club-give-us-so-little policy.
